Refunds

Draft - not yet reviewed

This is a starting draft written to give the page structure and sensible defaults. Have it reviewed against how your products actually handle data and payments before pklabs.ca goes live, then delete this notice.

If a product did not do what we said it would, we would rather refund you than argue about it. This page says plainly when that happens and how to ask.

The window

You can request a full refund within 14 days of any purchase or subscription renewal, for any reason. No form and no justification required - write to rh@pklabs.ca from the email address on the account and say you want a refund.

After the window

Past 14 days, we refund when the Service did not work as described and we could not fix it for you. We will normally try to fix it first. If a renewal caught you by surprise and you had not used the Service in that period, write in - this is usually refunded.

Cancelling

Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access running to the end of the period you already paid for. We do not pro-rate a partial month on a voluntary cancellation, and we do not charge a cancellation fee.

Apps bought through the App Store

Purchases made inside Language Match through Apple's App Store are processed by Apple, and refunds for them have to be requested from Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue those refunds ourselves. Tell us anyway if something is broken - we still want to fix it.

How the money comes back

Refunds go to the original payment method. Our side is usually processed within two business days; how quickly it appears after that is up to your bank, typically five to ten business days.

Your statutory rights

Nothing on this page reduces the refund or cancellation rights consumer law gives you where you live. Where those rights are stronger than this policy, they apply.

Ask

rh@pklabs.ca - include the product, the email on the account, and roughly when you were charged.
